✨ Technical Course in Jewelry making

I took part in a hands-on 6-month-long technical jewelry-making course where we learned the ABC of working with latun, and wax for jewelry design.

I have a complete set of technical jewelry-making exercises to make jewelry pieces. We progressively developed skills ranging from fundamental cutting techniques to advanced design and finishing processes, learning to creatively transform raw materials like latun and wax into jewelry pieces.

Our technical exercises included:

• Sawing techniques: straight cuts, circle cuts, square within a circle, pattern cutting
• Creating rings: square and oval rings from wax
• Soldering rings and chains
• Making beaded rings and bracelets
• Creating jewelry locks
• Polishing finished pieces
• Preparing jewelry molds
• Wax injection techniques

✨ Jewelry Research Atelier

As a final step in our 6-month jewelry-making course, I took part in the Jewelry design atelier experience as part of my graduation from the technical course in jewelry-making in the fall of 2023. We applied the diamond method of design and research skills to craft a unique jewelry piece with personal and collective emotional memory.
